Powerview Featured at Kossev Consortium Seminar & Head of the Oklahoma.

Submitted by pvmaster on Thu, 10/07/2010 - 21:16.

You can see us, and the Powerview system in action, in Oklahoma City this weekend. Powerview is a featured presenter at the Kossev Consortium's Rowing Science Seminar being conducted during this year's Head of the Oklahoma Regatta. Powerview, working with coaches John Parker and Jeremy Ivey of the USrowing-OKC Training Center, will kick off the seminar Friday morning with an on-water demonstration of the Powerview system. With boxes installed in two of the crews currently training towards the 2010 World Championships, Powerview will be collecting data on speed and acceleration through the workout--and then lead the coaches attending the seminar through a detailed analysis of both what the units recorded and how it can inform each crew's training and technique in these crucial final weeks of preparation for Worlds. Following the presentation, Powerview staff will be available to talk with participants about how Powerview can be used with their teams.

The Powerview staff will be on hand throughout the regatta this weekend, ready to speak with coaches about the system and how the National Team coaches have found it to be a powerful tool in their preparations for New Zealand. Coaches can contact Jason.moody@powerhousetiming.com for more information or if you would like us to demo the system with your crew during the Head of the Oklahoma.

But let's start on the water: Powerview and the National Team launch from Devon boathouse at 6:30 AM Friday.

Powerview systems will be used in the Head of the Oklahoma Night Sprints to capture onboard video. This video will later be featured in the Devon boathouse in the rowing tanks to give athletes a simulated race.
